The Library is now OPEN

I was walking towards the library and wondered if it was open. Honestly, memorizing the library hours is not one of my priorities. Then I saw this “Free books” cart right in front of the main entrance.

What a better way to say, “Come on in, we are open!” than this? This is definitely better than the usual piece of paper on the door listing the hours.  This cart not only conveys that they are open, but it also insinuates “come on in, we have something for you”.

Anybody could see this cart from far away and from different angles. This is a great example of how companies can send specific messages to their targeted audience without saying it straight forward and still create a bigger (and more memorable) impact. In this case the library audience was the university’s faculty, staff, and students. Kudos to the library staff for doing this.
